Tour de Flambeau Road Race and Time Trial
Ending the season, as usual, is the Tour de Flambeau in the lovely Park Falls region of Wisconsin. The road race is approximately 35 miles of rolling hills on Saturday, with a 13-ish mile TT on Sunday. The TT might be a little different than in years past, based on road construction. Updates will be posted as we know more.
NEW THIS YEAR: REGISTRATION AND NUMBER PICK UP WILL BE AT THE FLAMBEAU RIVER YMCA, FOR BOTH EVENTS. 485 S. 5th Av. Park Falls.
PLEASE PAY ATTENTION WHEN REGISTERING. The events are as follows:
- Adult: 35 miles Road Race ONLY, Time Trial ONLY, or RR and TT Combo
- Juniors (Under 18): Same as above, only less $$ because of their age--again, please pick the proper one
- Super Junior Race of 6 miles: Race on Saturday Only Starting at 8:30 AM!! Pre-registration on this site or via Park Falls website strongly requested.
- Adult road race starts at 10 AM--the 8 AM noted below is when registration begins
- Time trial Sunday starts at 9 AM--registration for those not pre-registered starts about 8 AM that day as well
But, being who we are (Wisport), if you have a super junior who really, really, really wants to do a short version of the time trial on Sunday, well...we probably could make something up for them.
If you are doing the road race AND time trial, there will be separate numbers for each race day--no need to save your number. If you are only doing the time trial, you do not pick up your number until Sunday morning. The order of the TT will be "first come, first served." So if you want an early time off, please be at pick up early Sunday AM.
Please note that Labor Day is on a MONDAY this year, meaning both races are technically the last weekend in August (30-31).
