Get Ready to Grind! Minocqua Winter Park Celebrates 5 Years of Dirty Squirrel Gravel!

Mark your calendars! Minocqua Winter Park's 5th Annual Dirty Squirrel Gravel Grind returns to the Northwoods cycling scene on Saturday, September 6, 2025! This premier gravel bike race offers a truly unique ride through the beautiful Chequamegon/Nicolet National Forest and Minocqua Winter Park's incredible trail system. Experience winding past the Squirrel Hill Lookout Tower, Yukon Creek, Squirrel River, and through quintessential Northwoods wetlands and towering pine forests.

Choose your challenge: the 3-mile Mini Nut fun ride, the 20-mile Little Nut, 40-mile Big Nut, the intense 60-mile Roasted Nut, or conquer the epic 80-mile Cracked Nut! An aid station will be available for the 40, 60, and 80-mile routes.

Compete for glory! Awards await the overall top three male and female finishers, celebrating their remarkable achievements. Furthermore, riders can strive for age group recognition, with awards for the top three male and female finishers in each 10-year age group across the 20, 40, 60, and 80-mile routes

Not sure about riding? Volunteer opportunities are available, both indoors and outdoors, no experience is required.
